Who we are
The Keble Association has over 500 members. They include former students who came up to the College in the 1940’s and representatives of every generation up to recent graduates.
This intergenerational membership is extremely important to us and informs both our purpose, which is to enable former students to support current students, and our way of working, in which alumni of different generations combine their knowledge and experience to determine what help to give and how the association should be run.
Members can come together at our London Dinner in January each year, which is open to all alumni, and at our AGM in College at the end of Trinity term, followed by drinks in the quad and dinner in hall. For those who want a more active involvement, we welcome new trustees and there is a trustee meeting twice a year. We are also keen to talk to members who feel that they can contribute on the Executive which meets each term, usually in London, and to our Grants Committee which meets each term in Oxford.
The Trustees oversee the governance of the association, the Executive deals with the running of the association as a registered charity, and the Grants Committee makes the decisions about what grants to give.
The KA provides active members with a strong sense of common fellowship and helps them maintain a real and valuable contribution to College life. It provides a mechanism for all members to be reassured that their financial contribution is being put to good purpose.
